Why is Reinhold Wanner an ambassador for the Ore Mountains?

Recently, an MCM member wondered how Reinhold Wanner, who was born and raised in Bavaria, became an ambassador for the Ore Mountains. He currently lives in Upper Bavaria. How does that fit together or what is the background? We will be happy to explain this in the blog and also post a few pictures.

Reinhold Wanner – How he became an ambassador for the Ore Mountains

During his career, Mr. Wanner worked and lived in several German states and travelled extensively in Europe and Asia, both professionally and privately.

From 2008 to 2011, he was the sole managing director of pro-beam systems GmbH, a special machine manufacturer from Chemnitz in the Erz Mountains. At the time of the takeover, the company’s earnings were weak and very much characterised by the last few years. When Wanner took over, he developed the company into a successful enterprise. As a result, it now generated a lot of income through his work. This was only possible, among other things, through a drastic change in the company and management culture. In addition, modularisation and standardisation in special machine construction coupled with newly created structures and processes played a decisive role for the team. As a goal-setting and achievement tool, they successfully used LMI’s EPL course (see more at https://wanner.gmbh/training).

Since he was the “first man” of the flagship company, he has always been a strong advocate for the region and was appointed an ambassador for the Ore Mountains in July 2010. As can be seen in the picture of Mr. Michael Findeisen, the ambassadors are used to advertise in a variety of ways.
