Founder Event – BPW ideenReich: Kick-off Business Plan Competition
On 6th of November 2014, the next round of the business plan competition, which is open to the whole of Bavaria, started for our region in the Burghausen community centre. This competition is aimed at start-ups from Mühldorf, Altötting and Lower Bavaria. MdL Dr. Martin Huber opened the event together with Mr. Anton Steinberger. Mr Steinberger is the managing director of the Burghausen Economic Development Corporation.
At the ideenReich Business Plan Competition 2015, founders from the region have the chance to win cash prizes and the attention of the public. However, there is much more at stake in participating. Experienced jurors give feedback on each submitted concept from different perspectives. This is a big advantage for the start-ups, as such things usually cost a lot of money, which they don’t normally have. This way, the teams know where their strengths lie and where they can still improve.
At the exhibitor stands, interested parties could find out about the support services offered by the following organisations:
- Chamber of Industry and Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria
- Burghausen Business Development Corporation
Wanners’ presence at the business plan competition
Wanner GmbH was also represented with a stand and, in addition to innovative business ideas, also shed light on the practical side of setting up a business. A typical “business plan” and its components were explained to interested parties. This way, they know how they should prepare their possible future business plan and what they should pay attention to when preparing it.
Wanner helps founders to find their business idea and, for example, to draw up a business plan. He also provides support with financing and the associated bank discussions and offers practical seminars on all relevant topics. Furthermore, companies and shareholdings are offered for sale from follow-up projects. In this way, a lid is found for every pot.
Start-ups from the region also presented themselves and their products. From the novel beer bottle to email encryption and small server systems for companies, service providers also found their forum.
